ABOUT THE ALBUM

The third album "Synthetic Mind" contains all known musical elements of the Crayon Phase sound like complex structures and cinematic arrangements, but also some straighter and more energetic parts with heavy Guitars and massive Keys. So while some songs are constantly developing through many different parts and atmospheres, now also some songs were written with a more song orientied approach, with more focus on catching vocal lines and choruses to remember.

Even the album was written as a collection of individual songs, all lyrics somehow circle around one major topic and capture society's exciting yet frightening journey from the challenges of our time into a dystopic future. This incudes reflection on current crises, social polarization, political tensions and the rapid advancement and risks of modern technologies, AI and robotics.

The danger of societies failing due to technological misdevelopments or societal failure offers a thoughtful perspective on the potential consequences if we lose control or if developments spiral out of control.
